Blogging is truly a life changing experience and I never thought I would be the one to say that.

Living with a fear of exposing your inner, true self, because that’s what you’re doing while blogging, sounds terrifying for introverts, myself included.

Despite that, if you’re like me, and want to help make this world better, day by day, little by little, you will understand why even an introvert like you should start a blog.

Putting other people and their needs first is something you should learn how to do because it will only help you in the end. That’s exactly what blogging is (or should be, anyway).

Putting your audience first, and creating something for them to enjoy and possibly learn from, all while helping you evolve.

Because we understand how important it is for you to learn all you can before making such a big decision, here is a short list to show you the greatest parts of blogging.

10 fantastic reasons why you should start a blog

1. It’s a place to share your knowledge

Maybe you have some special skills or have very much info on a subject that you like.  Then you share with your close friends and family, and they really, really like it and want more. Why not do this for others as well?

There are so many topics out there that you can write about! Maybe you’re crazy about clothing, why not have a fashion blog? you think that if you’re a guy no one will read it? Well, we would, because it sounds awesome! And like us there are many others, I’m sure of it.

Or maybe you’re just crazy about movies and know everything about every great movie ever made. If you’re a girl with all that knowledge, that just makes you extra special!

It doesn’t matter what your field is if you think that it may benefit people from reading it, why not just do it?

2. It’s work, but better

Nobody said blogging was easy, especially if you want to make a living out of it, but you know what the best part is? It’s yours. It’s your dream, not someone else’s.

You’re the one that knows how to do it better, how to improve it, and how to shift it in the right direction, to fill your reader’s needs and yours as well.

You’re not fixed on a 9 to 5 schedule, you don’t have a nasty boss breathing down your neck all the time. You don’t even have to deal directly with other people – yay introverts!

3. You can make money with it

I’ll be honest with you here. This was the main reason why we started a blog in the first place, but in time, it all changed into something much more. And it’s continuing to change, to grow.

Blogging is rewarding in so many ways, not just financially. But that’s the reward part for you, and let me tell you, it can get BIG.

There are so many bloggers out there that are making a full income online and not just mom bloggers, or others that have been doing this for 10+ years.

Seriously you guys, there are young people, 20+, just like you and me, that make over 5000$ per month with their blog, and even much more than that.

The best example I can give you is this 27-year-old blogger, Michelle, from Making Sense of Cents that just made 1 million $ ( yes, MILLION) just last year! Now that is something to think about! Who says that you can’t do it too if you put enough hard work into it?

4. You don’t need a degree to do it

This is probably my favourite part about blogging so far. Nobody will ask for any qualification from you when you start it, or after. It’s all about the quality of your work here.

If your information is valid and helps a lot of people, who cares that you didn’t finish college, or dropped out because that just wasn’t for you?

I have never heard of anyone complaining that a blog owner was not qualified to write this, and that…

5. You can be your own (and only), boss

Ah, the perks of being self-employed are so many, I have no idea where to begin! Think of it this way: maybe you’re a night owl, can’t sleep at night for various reasons, or just because you like it, or like me, you’re not a morning person.

Wouldn’t it be fun to go to sleep and wake up whenever you want? You’re never late! because you make your own working schedule for you, not some corporation.

Or do you want to do things how you like and when you like them, and for how long you like? It’s not your everyday soul-sucking job!

Do you want to take your own final decisions? You and only you decide what goes and what stays. You’re the boss!

6. It’s your creative studio

Don’t just think of it as “the place you go only to write”. It’s so much more than that! It can be anything you want it to be, as long as you’re happy with it. You can create a simple visual blog, filled with images of places, style ideas, tutorials, you name it!

It’s a place to let yourself and your imagination go free.

7. It’s (a very cheap form of) therapy

Another great reason why I personally love blogging is that it helps me deal with certain problems from my life, that I’m sure that affect others as well.

When I wrote the article about grief, and how to deal with it, I went from crying like crazy to smiling, because I knew how much it helped me, and I know that it will help others as well.

Use your blog to write down your problems and solutions, but write them down as you if you were reading them from someone else’s blog, that wants to help you.

With Bluehost, hosting is like 3.95$ per month now! Now that’s cheap therapy!

8. You can have your own “coven”

It’s so fun to find other people that share the same love as you, on the topics that you talk about! You’re not limited by the point on the map you’re in. Through blogging, you can connect with anyone from anywhere…

You just need to find your tribe.

9. For your personal evolution

You know how they say “you never stop learning”? Well, having your own blog gives you space to clearly see that evolution. Maybe you want to lose weight and started an interesting plan.

You can track your process and help and inspire others in the meantime. Or maybe, you want to improve something else in your life.

While you chase that perfect dream of yours and maybe even achieve it, you can share your findings with others that may have a similar thought.

10. It’s fun!

I’ve mentioned this before, in my first article about blogging, but I have to, just have to, say it again. Blogging is a lot of fun!

The research, the writing process, the review, posting, creating photos and pins… it’s all fun, even though it’s hard work.

If you’re like us and have fun while learning and sharing with others, blogging is definitely for you!

Our question for you is: Why would you start a blog?
